F1 Olive Egger
You will need to breed a blue or green egg layer with a dark brown egg layer to get an f1 first generation olive egger.
F1 olive egger. Shipped with usps priority mail. Generally it is made from crossing a real dark brown egg shell layer with a real true blue egg shell layer. This will produce in the first generation some great olive colored eggs for your table. Our f1 generation hybrids do typically lay an olive colored egg however the olive can be in various shades and the potential does exist to lay eggs of different colors.
12 olive egger hatching chicken eggs f1 f2. The most popular breeds to use are the marans or welsummer for the dark brown and a cream legbar or easter egger for the bluegreen egg. Our breeding is from pure cream legbar rooster over our pure welsummer to create a f1 olive egger. Though the plumage on this cross varies 95 of our olive eggers will lay an olive shade egg varying from lighter olive to very dark army green.
These chicks are from my easter egger hens olive egger hens lavender ameraucana hens bred with a blue wheaten ameraucanaee rooster. If you breed an f1 olive egger back to a dark egg layer you create a f2 olive egger which will hopefully lay a darker egg than her mother. The chicks will have feathered legs and be any mix of beautiful colors.
